Delta State House of Assembly, Tuesday, confirmed the appointment of Mr Otto Aghoghophia as the substantive Clerk of the State Legislature.

The confirmation followed a motion to that effect by the Majority Leader, Hon Emeka Nwaobi, seconded by the Minority Leader, Hon Edafe Emakpor and adopted during plenary of the House, presided over by the Speaker, Rt Hon Emomotimi Dennis Guwor.

Mr Aghoghophia, a lawyer, was appointed Deputy Clerk in March 2017 and became the Acting Clerk of the House in June 2023, following the appointment of the former Clerk of the House, Mrs Lyna Ocholor as the Principal Secretary to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
