The re-elected Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, says he has no plans to dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and return to the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Speaking during his appearance on the Morning Show on ARISE TV, Obaseki said he made promises to people of Edo as PDP candidate and it will be immoral and unfair to leave the platform given to him by the PDP to achieve his reelection bid.
”It’s not right to jettison them, I have no plan to return to APC.”
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, on Saturday declared Godwin Obaseki, winner of the governorship election in Edo State.
INEC’s Returning Officer, Prof. Akpofure Rim-Rukeh, announced that the APC candidate polled 223,619 votes, while PDP candidate scored 307,955.
Obaseki joined the PDP following his disqualification by APC governorship election screening committee.
