President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday met with governors of the 36 states of the Federation in the Council Chamber, Abuja.
This is the first meeting the Nigeria Governors Forum led by its Chairman and Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq would be meeting with the president since he assumed office over a week ago.
Delta Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori was visibly in attendance at the Inaugural meeting of the Nigerian Governors.
Also at the meeting were Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, the newly sworn-in Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, the National Security Adviser (NSA), Major General Babagana Monguno, among others.
Others were the Governors of Zamfara, Kano, Taraba, Kogi, Ogun, Nasarawa, Bayelsa, Adamawa, Ebonyi, Lagos, Rivers, Osun, Jigawa, Benue, Taraba, Delta, Enugu, Rivers, Oyo, Plateau, Kebbi, Abia, Imo and Bauchi.
This meeting comes a few days after the president met with the governors of his ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), under the aegis of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF).
