The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, has suspended all campaign activities following the death of 13 PDP supporters in a truck crash along Pushit – Panyam road in Mangu Local government area of the state.
The medical team of the PDP campaign Council which confirmed the casualty figure on Sunday said 64 victims are receiving treatment from the crash.
According to the team, the Jos University Teaching Hospital is managing 24 cases; Nisi Domino hospital in Mangu 20 cases; Infinity Hospital, Mangu 8 cases; Cottage Hospital Mangu 4 cases; Panyam Clinic 8 cases.
Apart from suspending campaign activities as a mark of respect to the victims, the Plateau PDP gubernatorial candidate has asked his team to provide every assistance possible to the grieving families.
