Chris Isiguzo, the South-East Bureau Chief of THISDAY newspaper has been reelected national president of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).
Isiguzo was returned opposed at the 7th Triennial National Delegates Conference of the NUJ, which held on Thursday at Umuahia, Abia state.
NewsNet Nigeria learnt that his only challenger, Idris Yusuf, from Kaduna state, stepped down 24hours before the commencement of the delegates conference.
Isiguzo was first elected national president of union in 2018 at Abeokuta, Ogun state.
As at the time of filing this report, at least delegates from 32 states are participating in the conference.
