Ijaw national leader and former Federal Commissioner for Information, Chief Edwin Clark, has passed away at the age of 97.
The elder statesman and politician born May 25, 1927, died the night of Monday, February 17, 2025, in Abuja.
The Kiagbodo-born politician in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, until his death, was also the leader of the Pan-Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF).
Confirming Clark’s demise, his family on Tuesday morning in a terse statement signed by his brother Prof. C. C. Clark and son, Penawei Clark for the children, said, “The Clark-Fuludu Bekederemo family of Kiagbodo Town, Delta State, wishes to announce the passing of Chief (Dr.) Sen. Edwin Kiagbodo Clark OFR, CON on Monday 17th February 2025.
