Mandela Bomini emerges chairman of Diebiri Governing Council

Comrade Mandela Bomini and 7 others have been elected as the new Executive of Diebiri Governing Council in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State.

The Comrade Bomini-led executive which was elected and sworn in today Sunday, May 12, 2024, will pilot the affairs of Diebiri Governing Council for the next three years.

Comrade Bomini emerged as the Governing Council Chairman after elders/executives of Okoroware Quarter in Diebiri selected him before inaugurating him at Batan community by the eldest man in Okoroware Quarter and Diebiri Kingdom.

The oath of office on the newly elected Governing Council Chairman was administered to the new executives with a charge to them to be a unifying organ.

Elder Newyear Asengbeghan, Elder Johnbul Yokiri, Chairman Okoroware Quarters, Elder Samuel Ogbomene and a host of other stakeholders that were present advised the newly inaugurated body headed by Comrade Mandela Bomini to use their position to attract government and its agencies for rapid development of the Diebiri kingdom.

Responding on behalf of the new Exco, Comrade Mandela Bomini vowed to operate an all-embracing policy.

He noted that the primary aim of leadership is to impact the people and the environment and solicited the support of the elders, youths, women groups to bring peace and development to the kingdom.

According to him, there is no victor no vanquish in the conduct of the election describing other contestants as brothers and sisters from the same Diebiri Clan.
