The Chairman of Warri South Local Government Council, Dr Michael Tidi, has reiterated the Council’s stand on the closure of roads in some parts of Warri, stressing that it did not order anyone to close roads.
Recall that Tidi had last Sunday in a statement announced the temporary closure of some selected roads in parts of Warri for maintenance from 14th Monday to 15th Tuesday, November 2022.
The selected roads include Ubeji Roundabout, Okere Square and Edjeba community road from the SPDC gate.
In a follow-up statement today Thursday, Tidi said he has nothing to do with any closure of roads in any part of Warri except those stated earlier in a statement.
He, therefore, urged residents and commuters in Warri to ignore any such rumours saying that the well-being and comfort of its citizens will always be his top priority.
“The Warri South Council is committed to the well-being and comfort of its citizens and would not do anything to jeopardize this stand.
“I want to assure Warri residents that my administration will at no time subject its citizens to unwanted hardship,” Tidi said.
