The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, has reportedly stripped Chief Ayirimi Emami of his traditional title as the Ologbotsere of Warri.
Ayiri was made the Ologbotsere (traditional prime minister) of Warri by the immediate past Olu of Warri, Ogiame Ikenwoli.
As the Ologbotsere, Ayiri was the second in command to the Olu and chairs the traditional council.
But, on Thursday, September 2, 2021, NewsNet Nigeria understands that the young billionaire businessman and politician ceased to be the Ologbotsere as Ogiame Atuwatse III, replaced him with Chief Johnson Amatserunleghe as the Iyatsere, as well as the traditional prime minister of the kingdom.
This followed the monarch’s commencement of revalidation of chiefs in Itsekiri kingdom at Ode-Itsekiri, the ancestral home of Itsekiri people in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State.
NewsNet Nigeria gathered that other chiefs who were revalidated include Chiefs Gabriel Awala, Kofi Kartey, Robinson Ariyo, Dr Roland Oritsejafor, Roli Oritsejafor, Edwin Olley, Solomon Arenyeka, Clement Maleghemi, Eugene Ikomi, Omolubi Newuwumi and Billy Besi Giwa.
