The Obi of Owa Kingdom led Delta State Traditional Rulers Council has been dissolved by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.
The defunct Council had among others: His Royal Majesty Emmanuel Oyinke Efeizomo II, Obi of Owa Kingdom as Chairman; Vice Chairman, His Royal Majesty Felix A. Mujakperuo Orhue I, Orodje of Okpe Kingdom and 2nd Vice Chairman, Pere S.P.Luke, Kalanama V111, Pere of Akugbene Mein Kingdom, in Bomadi Local Government.
A statement on Friday by the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Patrick Ukah, said the dissolution is sequel to the expiration of the tenure of the Council.
“I hereby convey the gratitude of the Governor of Delta State and, indeed Deltans at large, to members of the defunct Council for their very impactful contributions to governance during the period of their stewardship.
“The Council will be reconstituted in due course,” said the SSG in the statement.
