Delta Council Vice Chairman, Ighedo, dies of suspected cardiac arrest

The Vice Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Council in Delta State, Hon. Daniel Ighedo, has died, NewsNet Nigeria has learnt.

Ighedo, it was gathered died Tuesday morning from suspected cardiac arrest.

Multiple sources confirmed the sad development to NewsNet Nigeria saying it was a big loss to Uvwie Kingdom.

“Daniel Ighedo was a young promising politician in Uvwie land. He was one of those the kingdom was looking up to in the political development of our land.

” He would be greatly missed for his immense and untiring efforts in ensuring peace in Ekpan,” said a prominent leader from the area who craved anonymity.

As a grassroots politician, Ighedo until his emergence as Vice to the incumbent chairman of Uvwie Local Government Council, Hon. Ramson Onoyake, was the member representing Delta Central in the Delta State Waste Management Board.

Ighedo who hails from Ekpan community was major backer of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
