Former Minister of State for Education, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi on Saturday alleged that the Delta State Attorney-General & Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Peter Mrakpor and Hon. Reuben Izeze, member representing the people Ughelli South Constituency were the brains behind the four staff of Signatious hotel who were allegedly stripped naked, photographed, arrested and prosecuted in the state.
Speaking at a press conference held at his Oginibo country home in Ughelli South Local Government Area, Gbagi said Mrakpor started troubles for him.
According to Gbagi, “His intention is to disabuse the minds of Government that am not the right person.”
While noting that he had attracted developments to his hometown and other neighbouring Communities, Gbagi said the Attorney-General& Commissioner for Justice believes he is the greatest threat to his governorship ambition in the area. “Hence, he will go to any length politically.”
Gbagi who denied any involvement in the four staff of Signatious hotel who were allegedly stripped naked, photographed, arrested and prosecuted by the hotel management said, “I will not condescend to physically either by extortion to strip anybody naked.”
He said the incident is not a distraction to him politically anyways as it has motivated him further to concentrate better on his 2023 governorship ambition.

Meanwhile, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi also on Saturday denied having a hand in the alleged four Staff of Signatious hotel who were allegedly stripped naked, photographed, arrested and dragged before a Magistrate Court in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.
He denied any involvement in the act which has been widely condemned by the members of the public especially the human rights Community.
Gbagi also said none of his children had a hand in the act which said were politically motivated.
Gbagi who doubles as the Chief Executive Officer of the hotel noted that there was no warrant for his arrest from the Inspector-General of Police to him concerning the incident.
“There’s no invitation to me from the Police. I will honour the Police invitation if am invited. The Police have invited people who are higher than me, even Presidents. Who am I? I will honour the Police invitation.”
While pointing out that he was at the burial ceremony of his late elder Sister, Mrs. Doris Gbagi Emareyor, Gbagi said he was never arrested by any team of Policemen from Abuja.
He however promised to honour the invitation of the IGP if he is invited for questioning over the incident.
It was widely reported on Friday that the Inspector-General of Police had issued a warrant for the arrest of Chief Gbagi over his alleged involvement the incident after the Police raided the hotel and arrested two staff.
