Newly sworn-in Commissioner for Environment in Delta State, Ejiro Tommy Jamani has pledged to focus on quality service delivery in ensuring a cleaner and healthier environment.
Jamani stated this while inspecting various departments at the headquarters of the Delta State Ministry of Environment, Asaba, on assumption of duty on Wednesday.
The Environment Commissioner who was conducted round by the departments by the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Minnin Oseji alongside other top management staff emphasized that the time to work has come urging everyone to fasten their seat belts.
Jamani while stressing the need for collective effort in order to achieve positive results reiterated his committed towards advancing Delta State inline with the M.O.R.E. Agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
“Work has started in earnest and I want to state clearly that I am ready to work. It’s time to work and keep the ground running.
“As a staff of this ministry, I want to appeal that we should continue to work towards the growth and development of the ministry and be good ambassadors of this administration.
“With our collective effort, I am confident and optimistic that Deltans will not only see but will be positively affected by the dividends of democracy of this present administration.
“Though it is tasking, but the message is simple; operation keep Delta clean and advance the M.O.R.E. Agenda of this present government,” Jamani stressed.
