Delta State Commissioner for Higher Education, Prof Patrick Muoboghare has exited the administration of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, NewsNet Nigeria can authoritatively report.

Muoboghare has been very vocal and active in the education sector of the Delta State Government for about ten years and has also been a pragmatic union leader as a one-time chairman of the Academic Staff of Universities (ASUU), Delta State University, Abraka branch.

In the second tenure of former Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, Prof Muoboghare was Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education.

When Senator Okowa became governor in 2015, Muoboghare was appointed a consultant on Education Matters to the administration for four years.

In 2019 when Okowa was reelected for a second term, he appointed the Uwheru-born professor as Commissioner for Higher Education, a position held for more than three years.
