Men of the Delta State Police Command attached to the Bomadi Divisional patrol team have arrested one Solomon Ebe, with a bag of garri containing Three Hundred and Forty (340) rounds of AK47 live ammunition.
Ebe, a 37-year-old of Tuomo community in Burutu Local Government Area of the state was arrested by the patrol team on Friday, October 1, 2021, which was Nigeria’s Independence Day anniversary while on stop and search duty along the Bomadi/Tuomo road.
“The Operatives who were discrete in their responsibilities on reasonable suspicion decided to search the suspect and the bag. Upon search, three hundred and forty (340) rounds of AK47 live ammunition hidden inside the Garri were recovered.
“The suspect was arrested and investigation is ongoing,” the Command’s image-maker, DSP Bright Edafe said in a statement released on Saturday.
