The Ovie of Ughelli Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Dr Wilson Ojakovo, Oharisi III, has conferred a traditional chieftaincy title on Mr Herman Van Niekerk, General Manager, Security, Heritage Energy Operational Services Limited HEOSL.
This took place on Monday, December 4, 2023, at the Place of Ovie of Ughelli, Otovwodo, in Ughelli North Local Government Area, Delta State.
The South African national, who got the title “EVWRI R’OVIE of the KINGDOM of UGHELLI” will be known and addressed as Chief Herman Van Niekerk.
The Ughelli monarch said the chieftaincy title was to honour Herman for his patriotism and contribution to societal development, particularly in OML30, Delta State.
Excited Chief Herman appreciated the monarch of Ughelli Kingdom for finding him worthy for the traditional recognition, adding that the honour will spur him to do more for the society.
Chief Herman prayed for good health and long life for the monarch, while urging sons and daughters from Ughelli the kingdom to continue to support the monarch for the growth and development of the Kingdom.
