The oldest man in Ajalomi Community of Oruarivie-Abraka in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State, Òkwa John Macaulay Ajaino has joined his ancestors.
The transition to glory of Òkwa John Macaulay Ajaino, the Òkwa, and Okpakororherhe of Ajalomi Community was announced in a statement by the family of Igbedue of Ajalomi Community of Oruarivie-Abraka.
In a traditional ceremony on August 22, 2024, to formally announce the demise of their father, Mr. David Atika supported by Mr. Nestor Ajaino and Chief Ken Ajaino paid glowing tribute to the peaceful and impactful life of the retired Head Teacher, community developer, successful husband, father, and mentor to so many.
Before ascending the Òkwaship of the community, he was secretary of Abraka Traditional Council of Chiefs for several years and a kingmaker.
He transited at the ripe age of 98 years leaving behind wives and children including Dr. Tony Ajaino.
The date for the funeral would be made known by the family in due course, after due consultations.
