Jubilee Conference Centre, Effurun, Delta State was at the weekend agog with celebration as the Ladies of Saint Mulumba (LSM) Nigeria presented an award of Beneficiary of Grace to High Chief Anthony Atare Omo-Odudu of Enwhe Kingdom for his outstanding service to the noble Order of The Knights of Saint Mulumba and to the Catholic Church of Nigeria in general.

The prestigious award was conferred on High Chief Omo-Odudu during the 45th annual national convention of the LSM, an association of the spouses of the Knights of the Order of the Knights of St. Mulumba (KSM) Nigeria,

The award ceremony was heralded earlier in the day with a mass at the Mother of The Redeemer Catholic Church, Effurun, conducted by the Bishop of Warri Diocese, His Lordship, Most Rev. Anthony Ewherido.

Speaking shortly after receiving the award, an elated High Chief Omo-Odudu expressed appreciation to the Ladies of St. Mulumba Nigeria, Benin Metro, organisers of the award ceremony for finding him worthy of the honour. He expressly eulogized the Metro President, Lady Chief Felicia Appih and her amiable husband, Sir Olorogun Efe Appih, for their hard work in hosting the LSM 2023 convention.

High Chief Omo-Odudu gave special thanks to the Archbishop of the Metropolitan See of Benin, His Grace, Most Rev. (Dr) Augustine Akubueze; Bishop Anthony Ewherido; Worthy Supreme Knight, Sir Engr. Charles Mbelede and all Christ faithful of the Catholic Church.

High Chief Omo-Odudu an octogenarian and philanthropist equally thanked his children for their love and dedicated the award to God.

He urged christians to shun the get-rich-quick syndrome and imbibe the virtues of faith in God, hard work, patience and contentment.

He recalled how some years ago, he prayed to God for a life of celebration, noting that after that petition, celebration of good things have never ceased in his life and offered all glory to the Almighty God.

High Chief Omo-Odudu was among the 61 recipients of the Ladies of St. Mulumba awards.
