Barely twenty-four hours after the people of Isoko Nation in Delta State lost their son, a renowned historian and former Delta State Commissioner for Education, Prof Abednego Ekoko, another of their illustrious son, Architect Joseph Ajiri Ogeh, has passed on.
NewsNet Nigeria learnt that Arc Ogeh collapsed around 3am on Sunday after holding a meeting till 1am with political friends to conclude arrangements to host members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, today (Sunday) at his Iyede country home in Isoko.
Sources say Ogeh could not make it to the hospital he was rushed to as he was confirmed dead on arrival.
Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Government on Special Duties(Media), Ossai Ovie Success broke the news of the demise of Ogeh, who was in his 50s on his Facebook Timeline.
The calm looking politician was a former commissioner representing Isoko ethnic nationality on the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Commission (DESOPADEC) and later commissioner for Housing in the Delta State Executive during the first term of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa
Recall that notable politicians from Isoko nation particularly Honourables Tim Owhofere and Kenneth Ogba of the Delta State House of Assembly have also died this year.
