Frontline Ijaw leader, Chief Julius Babogha, has condoled with the Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okwa over the demise of his father, Pa Arthur Okowa.
Babogha in his condolence message to the first family of the state described the passing on of Pa Okowa at the age of 88 years as sad especially at the start of a new year with great expectations.
The Ijaw leader noted that the death of Pa Okowa came at a time Governor Okowa needed him in his determined effort to achieve a Stronger Delta.
He, however, consoled the governor to take solace in the fact that his father bequeathed legacies to him that helped to shape his destiny for good.
“My dear and amiable, please take heart over the death of your father who was a good man and an epitome of how fathers should be to their children.
“Your Excellency, you remain a shining light of the good deeds of your father who exemplary lifestyles you have continued to manifest even in the running of the affairs of Delta state, which are determined to leave enduring legacies as governor,” said Babogha.
Babogha prayed God to grant Governor Okowa the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and urged Deltans irrespective of their political party and religious affiliations to rally round the first family of the state at this moment of their grief.
