The late patriarch of the Okowa family and father of the Delta State governor in Owa-Alero, Ika North-East Local Government Area of the state, Pa Arthur Okorie Okowa, has been described as wisdom and humility personified.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Environment and Marine Transportation, Hon Daniel Yingi, stated this in his condolence message to the Governor Okowa and members of the bereaved family.
Yingi noted that the late Pa Okowa demonstrated wisdom in his dealings and relationship with others which aptly captured him as a father to all, adding that he was not carried away by his son being a Governor, as he remained humbled till death.
He prayed God to grant Pa Okowa’s soul eternal rest and his immediate as well as extended families the fortitude to bear the huge loss.
Yingi, who represented the Burutu 1 constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, also commiserated with the Speaker and members of the State Assembly over the death of the Majority Leader, Hon Tim Kome Owhefere, popularly called TKO.
He said Tim was a legislator per excellence, who handled his duties as Majority Leader with dexterity and perfection, giving the ruling party an overwhelming influence on the floor of the House at plenaries.
The Special Adviser stated that Tim would be greatly missed and urged the leadership and members of the Assembly to take heart.
Yingi also commiserated with the Isoko Nation, particularly the people of Isoko North where Hon Owhefere represented until his death.
The former lawmaker prayed God to grant the Owhefere family and all affected by the death, the fortitude to bear the irrepressible lost.
