Former Executive Director (Projects) of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Rtn. Samuel Adjogbe, PhD, FNSE, AKS has emerged as the provisional Charter President of Rotary Club of Evwreni in Delta State, South-South of Nigeria.
Rtn. Adjogbe was unanimously selected as the Charter President (Provisional) during the inaugural fellowship of Rotary Club of Evwreni yesterday, Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at the Eclat Royal Hotels in Ughelli, Ughelli North Local Government Area.
The coming of Rotary Club of Evwreni now adds to the number of Rotary Clubs under Rotary International District 9141 Nigeria comprising Rivers, Bayelsa, Edo, and Delta States.
Rtn Juliet Eghene-Ezefili, the President of Rotary Club of Asaba GRA in District 9141, sponsored the Rotary Club of Evwreni
Rtn Eghene-Ezefili, after presiding over the meeting, introduced the Charter President designate of the Rotary Club of Evwreni, Rtìn Samuel Adjogbe, who then continued and concluded the prayer.
In his acceptance address, Rtn. Adjogbe encouraged every Rotarian and intending Rotarians of the Rotary Club of Evwreni, District 9141, to remain steadfast and dedicated to the service to humanity.
He also reemphasized the four-way test of Rotary Foundation as a cardinal part of everything that Rotary is about adding that “Everything we do as human beings should be subjected to the four-way test’.
He thanked every attendee at the meeting for their support and appealed to them for their full participation in subsequent biweekly meetings.
Other Charter Executive Committee members of Rotary Club of Evwreni are Vice President, Rtn. Clementina Ejeabofio; Secretary, Rtn. Paul Aloba and Treasurer, Rtn. Diamond Friday.
