Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Guwor, says he was saddened by the news of the sudden death of a non-sitting member of the House, Hon Taleb Tebite.
Guwor described the late Tebite as a jolly good fellow and trusted ally who lived a life of friendship and camaraderie with close associates scattered across nations.
Saying that his demise is a tremendous loss to the state and the legislative family, the Speaker in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Nkem Nwaeke, stressed that the late Talib Tebite will surely be missed by many for his benevolence and commitment to welfare of others.
Rt Hon Guwor stated that the late former lawmakers contributed immensely to the growth of the State Legislature when he represented Ughelli South in the 4th and 5th Assembly.
The Speaker also highlighted late Tebite‘s passion for public service, stating that his appointment as Executive Director, Projects, DESOPADEC, was a result of hard work and dedication to duty.
Guwor noted that the good deeds of the fallen former Lawmaker will continue to inspire others and prayed to God to grant his soul eternal rest.
“I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of a nonsitting member and friend, Hon Talib Tebite who until his death was the Executive Director Projects, DESOPADEC.
“As a former member of the House, he was a shining example of integrity, hard work, and selflessness. His legacy will continue to inspire many.
“On behalf of the entire membership of the Delta State House of Assembly, I extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones. May God grant them the strength to bear this irreparable loss.
“We will miss him dearly, but his memory will live on in our hearts and through the impact he made in our state”, Guwor stated.
