The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori says the sudden death of the member representing Isoko South 1 Constituency in the House, Hon Kenneth Edafe Ogba is yet another great loss to the legislature.
Oborevwori stated this at the Oleh residence of the deceased lawmaker when he led members of the State Assembly on a condolence visit to the Ogba family.
He said the news of the death of Kenneth Ogba came as a rude shock at the Assembly because he was a man of the people, very generous and friendly, stressing that It was a great loss and that they are still in shock.
The Speaker added that Hon Ogba was somebody who came to the House eager to learn, maintaining that he was not ashamed to say he was a newcomer.
While explaining further that the late Member was always in a happy mood and no dull moment around him, Rt Hon Oborevwori, said he will be missed both in the Chambers and Legislators’ Quarters.
He however said in all, nobody can question God, pointing out that it was really sad that within five months, the House lost three great personalities and strong politicians all from Isoko Nation.
The Speaker disclosed that on January 27, 2021, the Majority Leader of the House, Hon Tim Kome Owhefere passed on, in April his Political Adviser, Sir Matthias Eto also passed on and on Sunday, June 27, 2021, exactly five months, same date with Hon Tim Owhefere, another member of the House, Hon Kenneth Ogba died.
He prayed to God to heal the land of the Isoko nation, stressing that it is too much within five months.
