The Deputy Chief Whip of the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Solomon Ighrakpata has condole with Governor Ifeanyi Okowa over the death of his father, Chief Arthur Okorie Okowa, who died early morning of Thursday at the age of 88 years.
Hon Ighrakpata, who represents Uvwie Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on Special Duties, commiserated with the entire Okowa family over the demise of their father and the people of Owa kingdom in Ika North East local government area, for the lose of a great community leader.
The lawmaker stated that the late Pa Arthur Okorie Okowa, was an epitome of humility and that his commitment to the service of God and humanity, was remarkable.
The Deputy Chief Whip charged the Governor and his siblings to celebrate as their father lived a worthy life, stressing that the impact that God used him to have on those he came in contact with were testimonies of a fulfilled man.
Hon Ighrakpata on behalf of his immediate family and entire people of Uvwie Constituency, prayed God to grant the late octogenarian eternal rest.
He said, “It was another moment of coming to terns with the realities of life, when I read a statement by the Governor, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa, announcing the demise of his father at the age of 88.
Loosing a beloved one is indeed very painful, but the children should not cry much but celebrate as their father came, saw and conquered. He lived a fulfilled life and died a worthy man.
“I wish to join millions of sympathizers all over the world to commiserate with my Governor, and the entire children of the late Chief Arthur Okorie Okowa on the home call of their father.
“My heart also goes to the traditional ruler and people of Owa kingdom for loosing a great patriot.
“My constituents and I prayed God to grant all the fortitude to bear the lose and to grant the soul of Papa eternal rest,” Ighrakpata stated.
