Prince George Ugen, who was Deputy Chief of Staff, Office of the Delta State Deputy Governor has died.
NewsNet Nigeria learnt that Ugen, who also was the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the first privately-owned radio station in Delta State, Radio Jeremi Limited popularly known as JFM Radio, died after a protracted illness in the early hours of Saturday at his country home, Otu-Jeremi, Ughelli South Local Government Area.
He was aged 72.
The demise of Prince George Ugen was confirmed by his younger brother, Prince Solomon Ugen, a Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Peace Building and Conflict Resolution, according to INDEPENDENT Newspaper Online.
Solomon said, “He had been sick for some time before he passed on this morning.
“He was a source of inspiration and pillar to the Ugen family, Otu-Jeremi community, Ughievwen Kingdom, Ughelli South Local Government Area and Delta State in general.”
Also in his post on his Facebook timeline, Solomon simply said, “GOOD NIGHT PNG. My Brother My Brother It Well Rest In Peace. Prince NG Ugen Former Deputy Chief Of Staff Government House. MD Jf.m Radio.”
