You showed great capacity and experience as acting Majority Leader – Delta Speaker to Preyor

Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori has commended the exceptional performance of the Deputy Majority Leader, Hon Kenneth Oboro Preyor when he acted as the Majority Leader of the House.

The Speaker at plenary of the State Legislature said Hon Preyor in the last seven months as the acting Majority Leader, shown great capacity and experience in handling the affairs and responsibilities of the office of the House Leader.

Rt Hon Oborevwori stated that the sterling performance of the Deputy Majority Leader, particularly when leading debates on Bills was impactful and commendable.

“Distinguished colleagues, I want you honourable members to join me to thank the Deputy Majority Leader (Kenneth Oboro Preyor) for his steeling performance as the Acting Majority Leader in the last seven months. During this period, the Deputy Majority Leader has led debates on a number of bills that have been passed by this House.

“Deputy Majority Leader, you have shown your capacity and experience as a sound legislator in debates and all other proceedings of the House. I am especially thrilled by your elderly proverbs when debating. The House will continue to count on your support and experience. I believe that the new Majority Leader and your humble self will be a formidable team. Indeed you have been a very dependable colleague, very competent, experienced and very committed to excellence. I thank you and may God bless you,” the Speaker emphasized.

Hon Kenneth Oboro Preyor who represents Bomadi Constituency in the House had since the demise of the former Majority Leader, Tim Kome Owhefere on 27th January 2021 acted as the Leader of the House until Tuesday 21st September 2021 when the Member Representing IsokoSouth two Constituency, Hon Ferguson Onwo was named the new substantive Majority Leader of the House.

Hon Preyor doubles as the Chairman, House Committee on Urban Renewal and Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Education.
