Members of the House of Representatives say the continuous exposure of the suspected killer of the Super TV CEO, Chidinma Ojukwu, in the media will jeopardise the case when it finally gets to court.
This was contained in the resolution adopted by the House when a motion was moved under matters of urgent public importance by Hon Tolulope Sadipe-Akande.
Presenting the motion on the floor of the House, Sadipe-Akande expressed worry that this development could affect the determination of the case when it eventually gets to the court.
She said the police should ensure that the suspect is safe from danger pending her appearance in court.
Meanwhile, in a recent interview that has gone viral, Chidinma has made a U-turn from her earlier statements where she claimed to have murdered the decease in self-defence.
The alleged murder of the Chief of Executive of Super TV, Mr Usifo Ataga, has continued to elicit reactions from many Nigerians.
The incident which was alleged to have occurred on the 15 of June has been a subject of discussion in both social and mainstream media.
A 21-year-old undergraduate of Lagos State University, Chidinma Ojukwu, has been in police custody as the prime suspect of the crime.
However, to the shock of many Nigerians, ChidinmaOjukwu, who is supposedly in police custody has been granting interviews to the media.
