The Deputy Chief Whip of the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Solomon Ighrakpata says Governor Ifeanyi Okowa is poised at ensuring early completion of all ongoing projects in Uvwie Local Government Area.

Speaking on the second anniversary of the seventh Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Ighrakpata, who represents Uvwie Constituency attributed the positive development in his Constituency to the peace and support of all stakeholders in Uvwie.

The lawmaker who stated that peace in Uvwie kept on improving by the day, enjoined the people, particularly the youths to help sustain it to attract more development.

The Deputy Chief Whip described as massive the ongoing drainage work in Uvwie, stressing that the Effurun-Sapele road dualisation is growing very fast, while infrastructural development on the newly created Delta State Technical College, Uvwie is eighty per cent complete.

Hon Ighrakpata maintained that Uvwie Constituency never had it so good and thanked God for giving him good health, the knowledge, wisdom, and wherewithal to provide quality representation to the Constituency.

While assuring the constituents of enhanced quality representation, the lawmaker stated that the voice of Uvwie was always very loud on the floor of the state legislature.

He explained further that in any debate at the hallowed Chamber on bills and motions, the position of Uvwie people was always canvassed and assured that he will remain a strong voice for the people.

The Uvwie representative stated that because he interacts with the people closely, he knows their pains and needs, saying that he also stretches his relationship with the executive, which account for a couple of projects he had influenced to the Constituency.

Hon Ighrakpata noted that the last legislative session was quite eventful but with the demise of the late Majority Leader, Tim Kome Owhefere, who he said was a great pillar in the House.

He pointed out that even in the midst of the negative impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic, the House was able to pass a good number of bills and motions for peace, development and good governance of the state.
