The member representing Warri South-West in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Emomotimi Guwor, says his earnest desire is to ensure that his constituents enjoy the dividends of democracy at all times.

Hon Guwor stated this in his office at the State House of Assembly Complex, Asaba, immediately after being presented with an award of excellence as the “Most Effective and Proactive Lawmaker for the Year 2020”, by the Nigeria House of Dream Parliament, FCT, Abuja.

Speaking after being decorated with the award, Hon Emomotimi Guwor said he had promised his constituents quality representation and that promise had remained his top priority.

The lawmaker stated that besides the issue of representation, he would continue to empower as many people as he could, in line with the jobs and wealth creation programs of the Okowa’s led administration in the state.

Hon Guwor explained that the task of good governance can only be won through collective efforts of every critical stakeholders, hence he had ensured that the voices of the people of Warri South-West were heard on the floor of the House during debates on issues of common interest in the state.

He described the award presented to him by the Nigeria House of Dream Parliament, as most surprising as he never knew that his activities in the state legislature were being monitored by the group.

Hon Guwor however expressed appreciation to the body for the recognition, stressing that whatever indices used to arrive at their decision pointed to the fact that he must double efforts towards achieving more for God and humanity.

He urged the group to continue to look out for those in authorities with the aim to making them perform better.

The Speaker of the parliament, Comrade Mike Egila from Kogi State, said the award was in recognition of Hon Guwor’s immense contributions to human empowerment and dedication towards the positive upliftment of the legislative arm of government of Delta State, South-South and Nigeria in general.

He reminded the Lawmaker that the award was a commission to higher duty of responsibility and charged him to do more to promote good governance in the state and the country at large.

The Speaker stated that the Nigeria House of Dream Parliament will continue to promote and encourage selflessness in Nigeria.

The high point of the brief ceremony witnessed by some personal aides of the Lawmaker, was decoration and presentation of certificate of award to Hon Guwor.
