Senior Pastor, Jubilee Christian Ministry, Rev. Alfred Jesudovire Kpogban has charged Christians to be united and shun denominational issues.

Rev. Kpogban noted that is the only way to defeat the devil, the enemy of man just as he condemns the killing of people especially Christians in different parts of the country by bandits.

The clergyman stated this on Sunday during this year’s Women Convention of the Church tagged: “Women as Gate Keepers” which took place in the Church premises along Refinery Road, Effurun in Uvwie Local Government Area, Delta State.

He said religious leaders especially Christians should forget about financial and personality values and come together as people in the body of Christ as it is the only way the work of God can move forward.

He said, “The work of God will move forward and defeat the devil if all Christians see themselves as one”.

The cleric said God created man to live together as one not be divided upon the earth. He, therefore, charged all Christians to live together in unity and love.

On the programme, Rev.  Kpogban said every woman is a gatekeeper saying if the women are neglected in the scheme of things, the society will not experience the needed growth and development. He charged the women to be good gatekeepers as what their children become tomorrow much depends on how well they take care of their children in terms of advice and others. The cleric charged women to be of great help to their husbands by helping to build the home. He said:” a good woman should be able  to protect the husband and the children because if the home fails to do well today, the woman  will  suffer it.”

He, therefore, admonished women to be patient, tolerant, submissive and work together with their husbands to build the home and by extension the society.

He said, “Every good woman should be able to work with her husband. She should be submissive, tolerant and obedient to the husband that is the only way, her family can get the glory of God upon her life and experience growth and development”.

On her part, Pastor Mrs Nero Tricia Kpogban said the women’s programme is plan of God adding that she was inspired by God and decided to bring about the programme to correct errors regarding how many women go about their personal lives since women are pillars of the society.

According to her, women needed to be educated on the need to take good care of families.

She said, “l was inspired by God to package this programme to enlighten women to enable them to play their roles effectively in their families”.

The three days programme featured different guest speakers from different parts of the country among whom were, Rev Mrs Omome Enakirehi, who is Chairperson, Pentecostal Fellowship of  Nigeria Women Wing (PFNWW) Delta State; Rev. Mrs Ruth Aleyekpo; Pastor Mrs Kay Benson Akhigbe and Rev. Mrs Ogagaoghene.

Drama, talk show, song ministration, mock news, praise among others to the glory of God characterised the programme.
