John Agusa now new President of Iteregbi community in Delta

Uvwie Local Government Council Chairman, Chief Anthony Ofoni has resolved the lingering leadership tussle in Iteregbi community in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.

Following the resolution, a 14-man Management Committee of Itereigbi Community with Mr John Agusa as President was constituted and subsequently inaugurated by the President-General of Uvwie Kingdom, Chief Hope Erute.

The leadership tussle in Iteregbi community was finally resolved by the Uvwie Council chairman, Chief Anthony Ofoni at a meeting convened in his office at the Council Secretariat.

The President-General of Uvwie Kingdom, Chief Hope Erute, was there so also was the Unuevworo ‘R’ Uvwie, High Chief Hope Akasa, various heads of the seven families of Iteregbi community and other stakeholders.

Chief Ofoni, while brokering the truce, emphasized the need for the interested parties to put aside their personal interest and forge a common front for the overall progress of the community.

After an exhaustive deliberation, two persons each were nominated by the heads of the seven gates of Itereigbi community to constitute the 14-man management committee with Mr John Agusa as President.

Inaugurating the John Agusa-led Iteregbi Management Committee at the Uvwie General Improvement Union Hall on PTI Road, Effurun, President-General of Uvwie Kingdom, Chief Hope Erute emphasized that their assignment demanded a high sense of responsibility.

He urged them to chart the path of peace to attract the needed development to the community.

The new President of Iteregbi Management Committee, Mr John Agusa pledged the commitment of his executive to be above board in the discharge of their duties.

Those to work with Mr Agusa on the three-year tenure include Solomon Apene, Vice President; Austin Ereku, Secretary; Margaret Roturi, Treasurer; and Kayoma Osawita, Public Relations Officer.
