The leadership of the Isoko Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), has congratulated Joel-Onowakpo Thomas on his victory as the senator-elect to represent Delta South Senatorial District in the fiercely contested election held on February 25, 2023.

The Chapel in a press statement signed by Comrade Mike Ilaya and Comrade Matthew Unyove, the Chapel Chairman and Secretary respectively, noted that Onowakpo’s purposeful aspiration to redirect politics in Delta state saw him navigating to victory from a diverse base of support across board in the senatorial district, which includes Isoko, Ijaw, Itsekiri and part of Urhobo indigenes.
