The Ijaw Journalists Forum (IJF) has congratulated Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, on his 55th birthday, praising his enduring influence as a stabilising force and pillar of the Niger Delta.
In a jointly signed statement, IJF President Ogidi Ben and Publicity Secretary Kelly Gilor lauded Tompolo’s courage, discipline, and long-standing commitment to peace and development in the Ijaw nation and the wider Niger Delta.
The forum commended his role in preserving Ijaw cultural heritage, as well as his leadership and humanitarian contributions through Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, which they said has impacted lives across communities.
According to the statement, Tompolo’s legacy of service, humility, and vision continues to inspire unity and hope, particularly among younger generations in the region.
The IJF further noted that his consistent advocacy for peace and unity has contributed significantly to stability in the Niger Delta, positioning him as a respected voice and dependable leader.
Marking the occasion, the forum offered prayers for wisdom, good health, and long life, expressing hope that Tompolo would continue to play a greater role in advancing development and human capacity in the years ahead.
