The life of a young, vibrant and hopeful mind who dreams of becoming a medical doctor is under threat after she was diagnosed with a patient with a hole in the heart.
Young Miss Happiness Oriretan is 14 and in SS 1, but she is battling to survive and live her lifelong dream of providing medical assistance to others.
Today, the one whose vision is to help others is in dire need of assistance so that her dream does not die.

Miss Happiness needs 6.4 million naira to carry out heart surgery and sort out other medical bills.
When Happiness was born on June 15, 2009, her family celebrated her birth in all joyfulness.
But her tender and innocent looks hid an ailment that may truncate her dreams.
At the age of thirteen, Happiness Oriretan had scaled kindergarten, primary school and was rapidly climbing through the educational ladder.
A brilliant girl by many standards, Happiness had reached Senior Secondary One when she began to notice that strength failed her with every little work.
Her performance in the JSS three examination was superlative, showing that she is a child with a promise.
But, did nature deal her a blow? Is nature trying to test her will or our kindness for people in such circumstances?
Happiness’s mother Rosemary said the health of her fourth child began to deteriorate rapidly after was first diagnosed as an appendix.
After critical checks, it was observed that Happiness had a hole in the heart, a condition which requires urgent and professional assistance to enable the girl to return to school and fulfil her dream of being a medical doctor.
Mrs. Rosemary Oriretan said presently they were finding it difficult to cope as their little savings have been applied to the health of Happiness.
They have been to Osun State several times to meet heart specialists who told them they require about six point four million Naira to correct the heart condition of Happiness.
The SS1 student Happiness said the health condition is truncating her educational pursuit and vision of being a medical doctor.
She appealed for assistance to enable her to return to winning ways.
One thing that has kept Happiness and her mother going is hope. She is holding strongly to the hope that you and indeed every person that hears her call for help will step forward to help fill up the hole in her heart and restore her to health.
