Gov Okowa’s Special Adviser, Mary Iyasere, is dead

The Special Adviser to the Delta State Governor on Entrepreneurship Development, Chief (Mrs) Mary Iyasere has died.

NewsNet Nigeria gathered that she passed on before midnight on Wednesday at her residence in Benin-city, Edo State after a brief illness.

Mrs Mary Iyasere, a native of Orhoakpor community in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State.

She was among the Nine (9) Special Advisers sworn in by  Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Monday, June 28, 2021.

A lawyer, Mrs Mary Iyasere was on July 4, 2015, sworn in as Commerce and Industry among 12 new Commissioners by Governor Okowa at the beginning of his first tenure.

She was former Woman Leader of the Delta State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and one-time Chairman, Delta State Board on  Arts And Culture during the tenure of former Governor James Ibori.
