Gov. Oborevwori’s Wife’s Generosity Shines Through as 2 of 50 Sponsored Contestants Make DBS Song of the Year Season 5 Final Oct 31 in Warri

All is now set for the grand finale of DBS Song of the Year Season 5 taking place Thursday, October 31, 2024, in Warri, Delta State.

The event, which begins at 10am, will be held at Prena Center situated at 3 Ebike-ere Frank Omare Drive, opposite DSTV Office, beside First Bank on Airport Road, Warri.

Ten contestants out of hundreds of contestants who participated in the different stages of Season 5 will lock horns to determine who goes home with the star prize of One Million, Five Hundred Thousand Naira (N1,500,000.00)

The second winner will grab One Million Naira, while the take home for third place is Five Hundred Thousand Naira as well as recording deals.

Contestants who made it to the finals include Debi Sean, Deborah Eweke, Okpako Ahereoghene, Jessica Obaro, and Lawrence Simon. Others are Jonathan Daje, Ogechi Mba, Tuoyo John, Confidence David, and Isukuru Ovie.

Among the ten finalists are Okpako Ahereoghene and Deborah Eweke, who were among 50 persons whom the wife of the Delta State Governor, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, bought the competition forms for through her ‘You Matter Charity Foundation’, a non-governmental and non-profit organization

The governor’s wife is among dignitaries expected to grace the grand finale of the musical talent hunt event which began five years ago under the leadership of the DBS Warri Music Director, Mrs Obes Isonguyo.

The programme is sponsored by Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, and supported by ND Western Nigeria Limited.
