Chief Fred Majemite, a prominent Delta politician and legal practitioner, has paid a condolence visit to the Ibru family in Lagos following the death of Olorogun Oskar Ibru, the eldest son of the late business mogul, Michael Ibru.
Majemite was warmly received by members of the Ibru family, including the widow of the deceased, Chief (Mrs.) Wanda Ibru; his brothers, Peter Ibru and Oboden Ibru; his eldest son; his sister, Obukome Ibru; and his immediate younger sister, among others.
Also in attendance were close family friends and associates such as Chief Dudu Akpotor, Ovie Oghenekaro, and John Idogun.
He described the late Olorogun Oskar Ibru as a visionary businessman, philanthropist, and community leader whose contributions left a lasting impact on Delta State and Nigeria at large.
“Olorogun Oskar Ibru was more than a businessman; he was a nation builder who used his resources to empower people and support communities,” Majemite said.
“His passing is a huge loss, not only to the Ibru dynasty but to the entire Urhobo nation and Nigeria as a whole. I pray that God grants the family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” he added.
He further commended the Ibru family for sustaining the values of excellence, enterprise, and service bequeathed to them by their patriarch, urging them to uphold Olorogun Oskar’s legacy of generosity and leadership.
Responding on behalf of the family, senior members of the Ibru household thanked Majemite for the condolence visit, noting that his words of comfort and solidarity came at a time of deep grief.
The condolence visit attracted close friends, political associates, and well-wishers who joined in paying respects to the memory of the late Ibru.
