Yes, much is still to be done, but, so far, his leadership and contributions to the Assembly’s success are invaluable. His vision and guidance have significantly impacted the lives of Delta State citizens
Recently, Rt Hon Olorogun Barr Arthur Akpowowo marked his second anniversary as Member representing Ethiope East State Constituency and Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly.
His representation across the 11 federal wards of the constituency cum Delta State at large has been impactful.
Many believe he has ensured that the good people of Ethiope East State Constituency enjoy the very best of legislation and representation.
From giving the people a voice, to protecting the interests of the people, which he has done through laws, motions, petitions and negotiations for dividends of democracy, employment, empowerment and infrastructural development have been exceptional.
In just two years in office, Rt. Hon. Olorogun Barr. Arthur Akpowowo has recorded numerous remarkable achievements across Ethiope East State Constituency. His leadership has brought about tangible development, empowerment and infrastructure development.

Construction of classrooms, offices, and toilets in three schools across the three zones of Ethiope East Constituency.
Over 1 Kilometer road constructed within the constituency, significantly improving transportation and accessibility.
Empowerment Initiatives
Cash Grants awarded to over 200 petty traders across the three zones to support and boost small-scale businesses.
Procurement of sawmill equipment to enhance economic activities and support local artisans.
Purchase of motorcycles for constituents to facilitate mobility and improve business operations.
Training in ICT & digital content creation with starter packs provided to empower youths and promote digital literacy.

Motion of Urgent Public Importance on the rehabilitation of the Old Eku-Abraka Road – now successfully completed.
Motion of Urgent Public Importance on the need to address herders’ menace and insecurity in Abraka and the wider constituency – currently in progress.

Petition for the Reinstatement of a constituent unjustly sacked from the Civil Service – successfully reinstated.
Petition against the wrongful termination of a constituent’s employment by Delta State University – reinstated.
Ongoing petition for the reinstatement of another constituent wrongfully dismissed by the Primary Education Board.
Public Engagement & Inclusiveness
First-Ever Constituency Town Hall Meeting and Briefing – successfully held, with preparations underway for the second edition.
Appointment of 35 Official Aides and Over 100 Unofficial Aides – as a means of youth empowerment and grassroots inclusion.

While it is understood that “Oliver will always ask for more,” rest assured that many more transformative projects and initiatives are in the pipeline.

Meanwhile, in a recent chat with the lawmaker, he assured that a date will soon be fixed for the 2025 town hall meeting with constituents where a massive empowerment programme for them just like the one held after his first year in office will be carried out.
