The family of the late Delta State Gubernatorial aspirant, Chief Ogbe Onokpite have maintained their commitment to ensuring that justice prevails over the un-just killing of their brother.

Members of the family made this known during a peaceful protest at the venue of the Delta State Judicial Panel of Inquiry on Police Brutality and Extrajudicial Killings seating held at the Governor’s Office Annex in Warri.

Speaking to newsmen outside the venue, brother to the deceased, Mr Victor Onokpite and Comrade Karo Erueme, said the family will stop at nothing to ensure that justice is served accordingly.

They said they were at the venue for the sitting of the Judicial Panel to further push for justice to prevail adding that the death of their brother still hurts them as well as left a huge gap in the family.

Also speaking, a lawyer, Eriata Odiana, said they are expecting a positive ruling from the Judicial Panel, stressing that they are hoping the ruling of the police investigation into the killing of late Ogbe Onokpite will be upheld and justice duly served on the police officers and others involved in his death.

Odiana who disclosed that the Judicial Panel of Inquiry has shifted the hearing to Wednesday November 25, 2020, expressed the optimism of the family that they will be duly heard and justice prevails.

The late Chief Ogbe Onokpite was murdered on November 26, 2011.
