Chief Kenneth Ukpebitere has been absolved of any infraction in his leadership as the President General of Evwreni Clan Improvement Union (ECIU).

This was part of the resolutions reached by members of the National Executive Committee of ECIU during an extraordinary meeting held on September 22, 2024.

A communique signed by eight national officers cleared Chief Kenneth Ukpebitere and Mr Daniel Amrehore of the allegation of “…sideling members of the National Executive of the ECIU amongst other allegations in the decision-making process of ECIU”.

The ECIU National Executive Committee members who endorsed the communique are Chief Kenneth Ukpebitere, President General; Daniel Amrehore, Secretary General; Ese Owolo, Assistant Secretary General; Obukohwo Usiada, Social Secretary General and Stephen Ogbokor, Auditor General.

Others are Hon Desmond Duke, Ex-Official; Omuyoma Omoyibo, Ex-Official and Amrehore Famous, Ex-Official.

They distanced themselves from the petition written by Ochuko Akpobasa Esq on behalf of four members of the organisation to the Secretary to the Delta State Government against Chief Kenneth Ukpebitere and Mr Daniel Amrehore.

According to them the petitioners, Mr. Okpare Sunday (Vice President), Mr Andrew Dodo (Public Relations Officer), Mr Ishaka Clement (Treasurer) and Mr Andrew Oyibocha (Financial Secretary), “did not act for and on behalf of the National Executive Committee of the ECIU”.

They therefore “urge all members of ECIU to refocus their efforts on the collective objectives of our organisation and to avoid actions that could create division or hinder the progress of Evwreni Kingdom. Our strength lies in our unity, and it is essential that we continue working together to build a stronger ECIU for the future”.
