Grand finale of DBS Song of the Year Season 5 holds Oct. 31 at Prena Event Center Warri

The much anticipated final lap of DBS Warri Song of the Year Season 5 has been scheduled to hold on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at the prestigious Prena Event Center, Warri.

The popular annual music talent hunt, 2024 edition slated to begin at 10.00am, has 10 talented finalists to slug it out at Prena Event Center situated at 3, Ebike-ere Frank Omare Drive, Opposite DSTV Office, Beside First Bank, Airport Road, Warri, Delta State.

Before the final stage, fifteen skillful competitors took part in the keenly contested semi-final held on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at RMF Multipurpose Hall Edjeba Warri.

According to the panel of judges for the event, made up of popular Delta-based music producer Teejay, prolific songwriter, producer, and artiste Toju Edema, and DBS Warri Music Director Obes Isonguyo, it was a herculean task in the selection process to be able to come up with the ten final contestants.

At the end, the following ten contestants qualified for the grand finale:

1. Confidence David
2. Daji Toritseju Jonathan
3. Debi Sean
4. Eweke Deborah
5. Jessica Obaro
6. Lawrence Simon
7. Isukuru Ovie Paul
8. Tuoyo John
9. Mbah Ogechi
10. Okpako Ahereoghene

The overall winner of the DBS Warri Song of the Year Season 5, sponsored by Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, and supported by ND Western Nigeria Limited, will go home with N1.5m (One million, five hundred thousand naira); second position N1m (One million naira); while N500,000 (Five hundred thousand naira) goes to the third position.
