Travellers groaned as EndSARS Protesters on Sunday morning blocked the popular Effurun roundabout in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.

The roundabout is the gateway from Benin to Warri and from Port-Harcourt into Warri and it environs.

Many of the passengers were forced to trek long distances before they could get vehicles to their various destinations.

The peaceful protesters converged at the roundabout near Delta Mall as early as 6am.

Vehicles were not allowed access through the roundabout to any location by the protesters.

They’ demanded end to the activities of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS and the newly created SWAT Unit of the Nigeria Police Force, bad governance, bad leaderships, poor representation, extra judicial killings by law enforcement officers and oppression.

The protesters insisted they will not leave the roundabout until their demands were met.

In a chat with Our Correspondent, one of the protesters, Yuppy’s Inspector and other youths blocked the road just to draw the attention of the government at all levels.

While noting that there is a great unemployment amongst the youths, Inspector said their protest is also for the government and its leaders to make the nation great again.

This according to him, will reduce joblessness as well as criminalities and other vices in the land.
