The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced that it is conducting a comprehensive review of the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results, following the discovery of technical glitches and system bugs.
WAEC in a statement released on Thursday, August 7, 2025, by the Public Affairs Department and signed by Acting Head, Public Affairs WAEC, Moyosola Adesina.
The examination body in the statement explained that the review became necessary to correct errors caused by the identified technical issues.
As a result, the Council has temporarily disabled result checking and viewing on its official portal to facilitate the correction process.
WAEC also advised all candidates who had previously checked their results to revisit the portal and recheck after 24 hours, beginning from Thursday.
The examination body assured the public that it is working diligently to resolve the issues and ensure the accuracy and credibility of the examination results.
