In sustaining her mission and vision for quality education and human capital development, the Engr. Dr. Samuel Adjogbe Foundation has offered scholarships to indigent students.
The latest beneficiaries are nine in number with selection cutting across the eight Local Government Areas in Delta Central Senatorial District. The latest scholars include the following, namely:
1. Omonugo Divine from Ughelli North LGA.
2. Samson Igbunu Divinefavour from Ughelli North LGA.
3. Oghenekevwe Nathaniel from Ughelli South LGA.
4. Afoke Godsfavour from Ethiope East LGA.
5. Evero Helen from Uvwie LGA.
6. Erukayife Rich from Sapele LGA.
7. Etakefe Naomi from Ethiope West LGA.
8. Stephen Gift from Udu LGA.
9. Agbeyegbe Alero Treasure from Okpe LGA.
This brings the number of beneficiaries to a total of sixty-one at the secondary school level and three undergraduates at the university level who have been awarded scholarships by the Foundation.
According to the President of the Foundation, Olorogun Samuel Adjogbe, PhD, FNSE, “Education is a passport to a better future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today”.
The scholarship award is expected to train each student from JSS 1 to SSS 3 and covers both tuition and boarding fees.
As of today, twenty-one students have graduated from the secondary school scholarship program.
The pioneer eighteen students, who were reduced to seventeen, due to one dropout for personal reasons, graduated from the program in 2025, with ten at Anglican Girls Grammar School and seven at Government College Ughelli.
According to the Country Coordinator of the Foundation Rtn. Clementina Ejabefio, PHF+, four of the nine new beneficiary students who are boys, have been admitted into the Government College Ughelli, while the remaining five, who are girls, have been admitted into the Anglican Girls Grammar School, Ughelli.
Recall that the Samuel Adjogbe Foundation initiated the secondary and university scholarship programs in 2018 with 18 indigent students.
At that time, eight of the scholarships were for boys in Government College Ughelli, while ten were for girls at Anglican Girls Grammar School, Ughelli, both in Delta State.
The selection of candidates for the scholarship programmes is done annually.
Those amongst the seventeen students who just completed their secondary school programmes and gained admissions into different universities in Nigeria are currently being considered for partial scholarship award programme, especially in the fields of engineering, medicine, pharmacy, accountancy and law.
