The Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Ede Dafinone, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful in Delta Central, across Nigeria and around the world as they celebrate Eid al-Fitr.
In a goodwill message on Saturday, the lawmaker described the festival as a significant milestone marking the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan — a period devoted to fasting, reflection, sacrifice and spiritual renewal.
He noted that Ramadan symbolises enduring values such as patience, discipline, compassion and generosity, urging adherents of the Islamic faith to sustain these virtues beyond the fasting period.
According to him, Eid-el-Fitr presents an opportunity for forgiveness, unity and gratitude, stressing the need for citizens to strengthen family ties, deepen community bonds and extend support to the less privileged in society.
The senator further called for renewed commitment to peaceful coexistence, mutual respect and collective responsibility in building a more just, inclusive and compassionate society.
He prayed that the season would bring peace, joy, sound health and abundant blessings to Muslim faithful and their loved ones, while wishing them a fulfilling and memorable celebration.
