The Lagos State Government says the prohibition of street trading and hawking is still in force in the state.
The government in a post on its X handle on Sunday, March 3 urged traders to desist from displaying their wares for sale on walkways, lay-bys, setbacks, road medians, verges, and curbs.
“Lagos traders should desist from displaying their wares for sale on walkways, lay-bys, setbacks, road medians, verges, and curbs because street trading and hawking remain banned in Lagos State,” said the government in the post.
