In swift response to the protests that have resulted from the hardship being faced by Nigerians over the implementation of the naira swap policy, President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday morning ordered the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to return into circulation the old N200 notes.
The President who gave the order in a broadcast on Thursday morning, said the old N200 note will be spent alongside the new notes of N200, N500 and N1000.
He said the old N200 note will be spent till April 10, 2023.
Mr Buhari in the broadcast also urged Nigerians to vote for the candidates of their choice in the February 25 and March 11 elections.
