Barely two weeks after the restoration of power supply in Warri, Effurun, and their environs, residents, particularly business owners have again been thrown into yet another darkness that will last for one week.
Warri, Effurun, and their environs recently experienced total darkness for over seven days, which nearly crumbled some businesses in the commercial nerve centres of Delta State.
The reason for yet another blackout according to the Regional Head, Warri Region, BEDC Electricity Plc, Curtis Nwadei is a result of the replacement of faulty equipment at the Okoloba Injection Substation in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of the state.
In a terse statement, Nwadei said the power outage would start from midnight of the 4th Monday to 7 pm on 11th December 2023.
He listed the areas to be affected by the one-week outage as PTI Road, Airport Road, Sapele Road, Effurun, Warri and their environs.
According to him, the repair is to enable BEDC to serve her esteemed customers better, and regretted all the inconveniences it will cause them.
