The Commissioner representing the Ndokwa ethnic nationality on the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Dr. Charles Olisa, has tendered an unreserved apology to the Governor of Delta State over his recent suspension, expressing deep regret for his actions and reaffirming his loyalty to the state government.
In a formal letter addressed to His Excellency, Dr. Olisa admitted that his actions led to his suspension and expressed remorse for any distress caused to the Governor and the administration.
He pledged total commitment to the MORE Agenda of the state government, assuring that he remains dedicated to the success of the present administration.
“I most sincerely regret my actions that led to my suspension and the pain it must have caused Your Excellency. I am truly sorry for my actions. I pledge my unalloyed loyalty to your government and will continue to pray and work towards the success of the state government, ably led by you,” the statement read in part.
Dr. Olisa further distanced himself from the unauthorised publication of his suspension letter on social media, stressing that the document did not emanate from him.
“I wish to humbly disown the posting of my suspension letter on social media. It did not emanate or originate from me. I was shocked and dismayed when I saw it circulating on various social media platforms, just like many other Nigerians,” he stated.
According to him, he had not even received a copy of the suspension letter before it began circulating online. He described the incident as “unthinkable,” noting that he would never publish or promote material capable of tarnishing his own image or that of the government he serves.
Dr. Olisa concluded by reaffirming his unwavering loyalty to the Delta State Government and its leadership, assuring that he remains committed to the collective vision of sustainable development and prosperity under the MORE Agenda.
